1. Finger pressure. The operator squeezes the surface or end face of the coil with his fingers to simply and directly determine whether the tightness is appropriate. This method requires the operator to be familiar with the tightness of qualified finished rolls. The disadvantage is that there may be subjective deviations, lack of data support, and standardized recording cannot be carried out.
2. Observe the end face. Experienced operators can identify winding problems through the color depth and style changes on the end face of the color printing film roll. Generally speaking, the tighter the winding means the darker the color of the end surface, especially where the inner ring is close to the paper core. Star-shaped wrinkles on the end surface are generally caused by looseness on the inside and tightness on the outside. Although observing the end face can make accurate and quick judgments, it is only suitable for individual problems.
3. Check the hardness. Instruments can be used to measure the surface of the film roll, quantify the tightness and record the data, eliminating subjective factors. However, the limitation of this method is that it can only test the surface, and it is difficult to reflect internal problems of the film roll.
4. Beating process. During the operation of the color printing film slitting machine, tap the rolled substrate with your hands or other objects to judge the tightness by feel or sound. This method is widely used in practice because it can immediately detect problems inside and outside the membrane. However, for some shiny film surfaces, care must be taken to avoid damage to the material.
